Vinh airport to be upgraded

Vinh air terminal plans to complete the installation of an instrument landing system (ILS) worth more than VND11 billion in the first quarter of this year to meet safety regulations.
It will also invest VND27 billion in installing high-intensity lighting arrays and the work is expected to be completed before April 30.
The terminal is building a road leading to the terminal, upgrading the runway, expanding the car parking area and erecting a statue of the late President Ho Chi Minh. These projects, costing VND54 billion in total, will be completed in the third quarter of this year.
Currently, Vietnam Airlines and Jestar Pacific Airlines are conducting two flights a day between Vinh and HCM City.
