Cultural heritages in Vietnam

In 1972, the 171 UNESCO Council officially passed the International Convention on the Conversation of the World’s Natural Heritage, basically listing heritages of special value to mankind and coordinating actions among countries and nationalities for the sake of preserving their heritages. Up to now, the number of the world’s cultural heritages has grown to 630, located in 118 countries.
Vietnam signed the Convention on the World’s Heritages in 1987. Since then, 5 places of interest have been recognised:
1. Hue - the old Imperial
2. Halong Bay
3. Hoi An old town
4. My Son Sanctuary
5. National park Phong Nha - Ke Bang
