Vietnam Airlines offers 12 extra flights on April 30 and May 1

Vietnam’s national flag carrier, Vietnam Airlines said on April 23 that it will run an additional 12 flights from Hanoi and HCM City to major tourism destinations to meet the demand for traveling on Southern Vietnam liberation day (April 30) and May Day (May 1).
Attractive tourism destinations include Da Nang, Nha Trang, Da Lat, Hue and Phu Quoc island.
Vietnam Airlines will run at least one extra flight per day from HCM City to Phu Quoc Island as well as from Hanoi to Nha Trang city; and 1-4 flights from Hanoi and HCM City to other destinations during the holiday.
The carrier said that in the first quarter of the year, the air transport market increased rapidly compared to the same period last year due to a sharp increase in the number of passengers traveling to big events and during the Tet holidays.
In the reviewed period, the airline carried more than 2.3 million passengers, earning a turnover of nearly VND6,000 billion.
